Vetters
A photo of a Rolex proves nothing: one-to-one copies exist, and documents can be forged. The only verification that holds is a qualified, independent person inspecting the thing in person, with money at stake if they are wrong. This page is who those people are, how they got here, and what they have done.
Drawn, never chosen
The seller pays the fee; the protocol draws a vetter by salted hash from everyone eligible for the asset, the claim and the country. The salt is published so the draw can be re-run.
In person, bound to the serial
The vetter inspects the item and files an attestation whose evidence is their own macro photos of the serial and the inspection record. Above $500, or for a vetter on probation, a second vetter from a different firm is drawn too.
Bonded and slashed
Every vetter posts a bond. A ruling of counterfeit against an item they vouched for slashes it to the buyer; repeated overturns suspend them mechanically.
Seated by stakers, confirmed by governance
Council candidates are voted on by OWN stakers, then confirmed or vetoed by governance with a published reason.
Guaranteed
If a vetted item is later ruled fake, the buyer is made whole: the seller bond, then the vetter bond, then the insurance pool, which every inspection fee tops up.
