Protocol

Fees

One schedule sets every protocol fee. An order records the schedule's hash when it opens and keeps that rate, whatever the schedule says later. The trade fee is taken from the seller's proceeds when they are paid, then split into four buckets.

Buckets

  • Stakers · 40.00% of each fee$0.00simulated
Accumulates only: staking exists on-chain once the OWN token is live.
  • Buyback · 30.00% of each fee$0.00simulated
Accumulates only: buybacks exist on-chain once the OWN token is live, and the OWN they buy is sent to the dead address.
  • Treasury · 20.00% of each fee$0.00simulated
The operator’s share, and whatever rounding leaves over.
  • Insurance pool · 10.00% of each fee$0.00simulated
    Pays governance-approved claims.

OWN trading tax

The buckets have a second input besides protocol fees: the tax on OWN trades, paid by whoever trades OWN on Flap, not by Ownify's buyers or sellers. The OWN token is 0xb933a37616ded5df47b92fbfd425223da4e77777.

  • OWN trades on Flap whatever the launch status shows, and Ownify cannot switch it off. Buying OWN on Flap or its pool is outside the Ownify service.
  • Every buy pays a 2% tax and every sell a 2% tax, for 3 years after the token graduates to its Uniswap pool. If the token never graduates, the tax applies for as long as it trades on the bonding curve. Plain wallet transfers, staking included, are not taxed.
  • Flap keeps part of the tax, and charges its own 1% fee on bonding-curve trades; Flap’s multisig can upgrade its launchpad contracts. The rest goes to the OwnTaxReceiver contract, which turns it into the settlement stablecoin where needed and forwards it to the fee distributor, split like protocol fees.
  • A multisig sets that split within the contract caps (no share above 60%, insurance at least 5%), and every change waits out a 7-day timelock. The treasury share is operator revenue, and team-held OWN that is staked earns part of the stakers’ share.
  • OWN bought back with the buyback share is sent to the dead address, where nobody can spend it. OWN has no burn function and no on-chain voting.
  • Simulated ledger: no funds move.
  • The trade fee is taken from the seller's proceeds when they are paid (release, or holdback maturity), at the rate recorded on the escrow when it opened.
  • The stakers and buyback buckets only accumulate: staking and buybacks exist on-chain only, once OWN_TOKEN is live. Bought-back OWN is sent to the dead address.
  • The insurance bucket is the insurance pool.
  • On-chain the buckets have a second input, the OWN trading tax on Flap; a multisig sets the on-chain split within the caps, behind a 7-day timelock.
